Golfing Doctors Association

The Golfing Doctors Association (GDA) has an inspiring history that began in 2009 when a group of passionate doctors came together with a shared love for the sport of golf. Recognizing the potential for golf to bring doctors closer and promote their overall well-being, they established the association as an informal group.
Initially, the association started organizing friendly golf matches among its members, creating opportunities for doctors to bond, network, and enjoy their shared interest in the sport. These early gatherings laid the foundation for what would later become a registered society.
As the popularity of the association grew, so did the vision and ambitions of its members. They realized the potential for the GDA to have a more significant impact on the lives of doctors and their families, both professionally and personally. With this in mind, the association took the necessary steps to become a registered society, formalizing its structure and expanding its activities.
Becoming a registered society allowed the GDA to access more resources, form partnerships with golf courses and other organizations, and better serve its members. The association began to organize regular golf tournaments at various courses across India, inviting doctors from different regions and specialties to participate. These tournaments provided an opportunity for doctors to showcase their golfing skills, compete in a friendly and supportive environment, and foster a sense of camaraderie among the medical community.
With the success of the golf tournaments, the GDA further diversified its activities to include family-oriented events and get-togethers. Recognizing the importance of work-life balance and the need for doctors to spend quality time with their families, the association introduced activities that catered to both doctors and their loved ones. These events aimed to strengthen the bond between members' families and promote a sense of community within the association.
Over time, the GDA has grown into a vibrant community of golfing doctors, offering a platform for networking, professional collaboration, and personal well-being. The association continues to evolve, seeking new opportunities to expand its reach, organize tournaments at prestigious courses abroad, and contribute positively to the lives of its members.
As a registered society, the GDA operates with a formal structure, governing body, and a commitment to upholding its core values of camaraderie, sportsmanship, and the well-being of doctors and their families.
